Buffalo Grass Plugs

Buffalo grass is a native type to the western Americas beginning in Mexico through the Great Plans as far north as Montana. It is a perfect grass type for those areas making it natures choice by adaptation. It rarely grows beyond 12″ in length and when it does it lays over making it appear to be much shorter. The grass grows in pretty thin distributions making it ideal for mixed wildflowers on the side of the road. If you want to plant it in your yard, it is possible to get small plugs. These buffalo grass plugs are relatively cheap and can be installed in a “spread” pattern which allows your purchase to go a long way. Then your grass will spread to fill in those areas over time through stolons and seedlings that it produces. You can expect to have your grass filled in within a couple of growth seasons and then you will have a fully grown in lawn. Beautiful and all!
